Prize distribution ceremony of Government Model College Arki organized
Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi said that education is the best wealth in the real sense and the state government is committed to providing quality education to every youth of Himachal. Sanjay Awasthi was presiding over the annual prize distribution function organized at Government Excellence College, Arki today.
Sanjay Awasthi said that the most important thing to achieve the set goal is to keep trying again. He said that the journey to success is difficult, but it can be achieved by working hard. He advised the students to take inspiration from their failure and move forward by working hard.
The MLA said that in the current era of competition, it is not only important to score marks, but it is more important to be competent and capable. He said that to be successful, it is essential to have knowledge of modern technology so that the youth can not only get employment but can also become employment providers.
Sanjay Awasthi said that the state government is working to improve all levels of education. At the primary level, children are being educated through the English medium from the first class, while the Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding Schools to be established in every assembly constituency will educate the young generation as per modern standards. He said that the state government is moving towards providing better infrastructure at the higher level. Emphasis is being laid on providing employment oriented education to the youth.
He said that the young generation should also focus on making politics their goal. Today’s youth has better thinking and technology knowledge and through politics, the youth can play a better role in taking the country and the state forward on the path of development.
He urged the youth to stay away from social evils like drug addiction. He said that drug addiction can provide momentary happiness, but in the long run it only causes harm.
While congratulating the college management and all the students for the successful organization of the function, the MLA said that the students should use all their energy and time in building their future.
He announced that he would give an amount of Rs 21 thousand from his discretionary fund to the college management.
On this occasion, the MLA also rewarded meritorious students who performed exceptionally well.
On this occasion, colorful cultural programmes were presented by the students.
