Bharmour | February 23
A warm welcome was accorded to Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Rohit Thakur during his visit to Bharmour on Sunday. Local representatives and residents gathered to greet the Minister and raise key issues concerning the education sector in the Bharmour विधानसभा area.
During the interaction, a demand was placed before the Minister regarding the situation that arose after the merger of the Girls’ School and the proposal to run a CBSE-affiliated school in Bharmour. Keeping in view the significant contribution of the late revered saint, Brahmaleen Shri Shri 1008 Shri Jai Krishan Giri Ji Maharaj, towards girls’ education in the region, the delegation urged that the educational institution be named in his honour.
The representatives emphasized that naming the institution after the respected Guru Maharaj would be a tribute to his lifelong dedication to promoting education, especially for girls in the tribal region.
Expressing satisfaction, the delegation stated that Education Minister Rohit Thakur assured them that their demand would be fulfilled.
The visit witnessed the presence of several local leaders and community members who extended their support to the proposal.
