In order to bring the economic condition of the Electricity Board back on track in Himachal, the government has abolished the subsidy given in tariffs to the gazetted officials from January 1. Apart from this, 125 units of free electricity facility has also been withdrawn from these employees.
In such a situation, from the month of February, these employees will be released without subsidized electricity bills. However, there are so many consumers who will be released without subsidy next month, the electricity board has not been able to collect its full data yet. A data has been sought from government departments regarding this, but information is still yet to come from some departments.
In such a situation, according to the data available with the Electricity Board, the consumers will be issued electricity bills without subsidy in the month of February. At the same time, it includes more than one thousand consumers, who voluntarily left the subsidy on the electricity bill after the appeal of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu.
Like non -gazetted officers in Himachal Pradesh, the power subsidy of military and paramilitary officers who are serving in the state has also been stopped. In such a situation, the army officers who are serving in many other parts of the state including Shimla, will not get subsidy on the electric meters installed in the government house. They will also be released without subsidized bill from the month of February.
Group-A and Group-B employees/pensioners (in the past Category-1 and Category-II employees) of the state government will not get subsidy on electricity. Similarly, the Central Government Board, Corporation, State/Central Government undertakings, universities of the universities of the state/central government, Group-A and Group-B employees/Pensioners will not get subsidy. . Similarly, these orders will also apply to the same class of employees/pensioners of military and semi-monkey forces working in Himachal. All these sections will be released without subsidy from February.
The Himachal Pradesh government has given an ultimatum of e-KYC to the Electricity Board and consumers till 15 February. In such a situation, consumers who do not e-KYC till 15 February will also have to wash 125 units of free electricity on one meter .
