Enhanced Security Measures of Online NOCs/ Permissions of State Board

With great pride I am able to tell that our team at Head Office is continuing to examine our processes, particularly in terms of IT in order to make OCMMS portal user-friendly for both the Industry and the officers.
In light of recent fraud NOCs forged by miscreants in Baddi region, the Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board has levelled up the security features of our online consent documents. It is to be noted here that the primary method of verifying an online issued document is by verifying its signatures on Adobe pdf reader itself. Nevertheless, for stakeholders who print these documents one can easily scan a unique QR code now printed on all consents using the normal scanner on your smartphone. On scanning, the original consent document will be downloaded from the OCMMS website of HPSPCB with which both industry and the Board can match details and verify the authenticity of the document.
Efforts are ongoing for making the entire process user friendly. In this direction, the State Board shall soon release instruction videos for filling up various online consent/ NOC/ Authorisation/ registration applications as required by industries under various Acts and Rules. The Board has in recent months, in order to streamline the process and enhance transparency, started an online laboratory module for sample analysis, online consent and Bio medical waste authorisation for healthcare facilities, Online Dashboard for in-depth monitoring progress of applications and auto renewal of consent for Green industries. Efforts shall continue to streamline systems for better monitoring, regulation, transparency and ease of doing business.
