Solan
A smooth drinking water supply is being ensured in Solan city, according to an assistant engineer with the Water Power Department, Solan, who provided this information today.
The Assistant Engineer stated that drinking water is being supplied smoothly in the Solan Municipal Corporation area through the Giri Lift Drinking Water Scheme and the Ashwani Khad Lift Drinking Water Scheme. He added that pumping was affected only for one day on March 9th due to a power outage. He stated that during the past 20 days, an average of approximately 109 lakh liters of drinking water has been provided daily to the Solan Municipal Corporation.
He said that the Jal Shakti Department is supplying adequate water to the Solan Municipal Corporation daily. He added that the pumping system is also being regularly inspected to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply to the city residents.
He said that water supply is smooth in all areas of the city including Power House and Saproon.
He said that on March 1, 65 lakh litres of water was released from Giri river and 25.04 lakh litres from Ashwani Khad, on March 2, 70 lakh litres of water was released from Giri river and 25 lakh litres from Ashwani Khad, on March 3, 68 lakh litres of water was released from Giri river and 24.4 lakh litres from Ashwani Khad, on March 4, 62 lakh litres of water was released from Giri river and 16.8 lakh litres from Ashwani Khad, on March 5, 65 lakh litres of water was released from Giri river and 16.6 lakh litres from Ashwani Khad, on March 6, 74 lakh litres of water was released from Giri river and 24.5 lakh litres from Ashwani Khad, on March 7, 72 lakh litres of water was released from Giri river and 25.4 lakh litres from Ashwani Khad, on March 8, 68 lakh litres of water was released from Giri river and 24.09 lakh litres from Ashwani Khad, on March 9, 75 lakh litres of water was released from Giri river and 16.6 lakh litres from Ashwani Khad. 24.5 lakh litres from Khad, on 10 March 12 lakh litres from Giri river and 22.5 lakh litres from Ashwani Khad, on 11 March 70 lakh litres from Giri river and 23.8 lakh litres from Ashwani Khad, on 12 March 68 lakh litres from Giri river and 20.6 lakh litres from Ashwani Khad, on 13 March 65 lakh litres from Giri river and 21.8 lakh litres from Ashwani Khad, on 14 March 75 lakh litres from Giri river and 18.8 lakh litres from Ashwani Khad, on 15 March 63 lakh litres from Giri river and 21.6 lakh litres from Ashwani Khad, on 16 March 45 lakh litres from Giri river and 25.1 lakh litres from Ashwani Khad, and on 17 March 70 lakh litres from Giri river and 18.8 lakh litres from Ashwani Khad were collected by the Municipal Corporation. Solan has been distributed.
