Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) witnessed a grand celebration of Engineer’s Day with the event Eureka, organized by the Rotary Club of Shimla and the Rotaract Club of Waknaghat with the Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence for Education. The event aimed to honor the contributions of engineers and encourage innovative thinking among the next generation of problem-solvers.
The event was graced by Er. Rakesh Kumar Thakur, a renowned scientist associated with DRDO, served as the chief guest. In his address, Er. Thakur shared words of wisdom that motivated all participants, urging them to continue exploring new horizons in the field of engineering and innovation. His speech inspired students and faculty to push the boundaries of technological advancements.
A highlight of Eureka was the project presentations, where students from all years presented their innovative ideas and projects. Each project was thoroughly judged by a panel of expert panelists. The competition concluded with the announcement of the winners, who were rewarded for their outstanding contributions to engineering and innovation. The first position was secured by Team Obscura, awarded Rs. 5000 for their exceptional project, second Position secured by Team Nirvana, awarded Rs. 3000, third Position secured by Team Bug Brigade, awarded Rs. 2000. The innovative ideas presented by the students were highly appreciated, with many attendees recognizing the potential impact of these projects on real-world challenges. The event concluded with a special felicitation ceremony for all the engineers present and closing remarks by JUIT’s Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Rajendra Kumar Sharma, who emphasized the importance of engineers in shaping the future and their vital role in driving societal progress.
