Hamirpur, January 5 : On January 15, the Sarva Kalyankari Trust will organize a programme at the historical Chaugan in Sujanpur.
Preparations for the upcoming Army Day celebrations are in full swing and there is a lot of enthusiasm among the ex-servicemen and the public of the area regarding this celebration.

Under the leadership of retired Captain Jyoti Prakash, veterans rehearsed for the parade today at the historic Chaugan in Sujanpur. He will also lead the march past. He stated that this year’s Army Day celebrations are being held on a larger scale than in previous events, with four contingents of veterans from the Sujanpur Assembly constituency participating, while veterans from Barsar, Hamirpur, Bhoranj, and Nadon will also participate in the parade.
Rajendra Rana, founder of the Sarva Kalyankari Trust and former MLA from Sujanpur, and Abhishek Rana, president of the trust, are constantly monitoring preparations for the event. Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla will attend the event as the chief guest, while Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur will preside over the program.
Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, a descendant of Maharana Pratap and a descendant of the Mewar royal family, and Saudan Singh, National Vice President of the BJP, will be the special guests of honor at the ceremony. Retired Lieutenant General BS Jaswal will also be the special guest of honor.
This time, the annual function of Sarva Kalyankari Trust has also been added along with the Army Day celebrations, in which eminent personalities of the state and the country will be honoured with “Shaan-e-Himachal” and “Shaan-e-Hind” awards.
