Under the ‘ Public Distribution System ‘ , fair price shops are to be opened at 10 places in Shimla district for which applications have been invited. This information was given by District Controller Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Narendra Kumar Dhiman.
He informed that applications have been invited for allotment of fair price shop in village Manghara ward no. 4 of Gram Panchayat Banoti of development block Chauhana, village Umri ward no. 8 of Gram Panchayat Shingla of development block Rampur and village Parandli ward no. 3 of Gram Panchayat Devthi, village Ramnagari ward no. 5 of Gram Panchayat Mandal of development block Jubbal-Kotkhai, Devgarh in place of Gram Panchayat Devgarh and Baghi in place of Gram Panchayat Badhi of development block Kotkhai, Mandhol in place of Gram Panchayat Mandhol of development block Jubbal, Pulwahal ward no. 4 in place of Javag Chamrog of Gram Panchayat Chaupal, ward no. 16 Jakhu of Shimla city and village Batadi of Gram Panchayat Kabanu-Bataadi of sub tehsil Kotgarh Kumarsain of development block Narkanda , the last date for submission of which has been fixed as 12th September, 2025.
Interested persons/institutions can apply online to open a new fair price shop at the above mentioned place by uploading the required information and other documents on the website emerginghimachal.hp.gov.in . Apart from this, applications through any other medium will not be accepted. The minimum qualification to apply is matriculation and the age of the individual applicant should be between 18 years to 45 years. Along with the application form, it is mandatory to upload matriculation certificate and other higher education certificates (if any), financial status, ex-servicemen, disability, educated unemployed, certificate regarding self or any family member not being in regular employment, availability and storage capacity of the shop, widow or single woman, if the applicant belongs to BPL/SC/OBC/ST family then his certificate and if the applicant belongs to the same place where the fair price shop is proposed to be opened, then it is also mandatory to upload a certified copy of the certificate issued by the Panchayat from the authorized officer, affidavit regarding self or any family member not being elected to any post of MLA, MP or local bodies, so that merit can be prepared for fair price shop allotment on that basis. Without the required documents, the application will be rejected/cancelled.
