The state government is determined to provide employment and self-employment opportunities to the youth.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary (Public Works, Health and Family Welfare and Information and Public Relations Department) Sanjay Awasthi said that fairs and festivals are an important means of economic empowerment along with the preservation of our rich culture. Sanjay Awasthi was addressing the function organized on the occasion of one-day Dhardudhar fair in Gram Panchayat Khanlag of Arki assembly constituency today.
Earlier, he also inaugurated the building of Ayurvedic Health Center constructed at a cost of Rs 40.58 lakh in Gram Panchayat Khanlag.
Sanjay Awasthi said that we have to promote our folk traditions, handicrafts and handlooms on a large scale in fairs and festivals. Through this, while the young generation will get information about them, employment and self-employment opportunities will also be created through them.
He said that in the present time, due to the development of technology, the young generation is becoming away from reality. Fairs and festivals play an important role in helping the young generation to become familiar with and understand their rich culture. He said that the young generation will have to provide their valuable support in carrying forward our traditions. He said that understanding of history and culture is essential for a better future.
Sanjay Awasthi said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, various welfare schemes are being started for the development of the state. He said that e-taxi scheme has been started recently with the aim of providing employment to educated youth. Under this, the government will give 50 percent subsidy to the youth on the purchase of electric taxi.
He said that the Him Ganga scheme of the state government will prove important in strengthening the rural economy. Under this scheme of Rs 500 crore, new milk processing plants will be established in the state. The established plants will be upgraded. He said that real price of milk will be available under Him Ganga Scheme.
Earlier, the Chief Parliamentary Secretary listened to the problems of the people near Government Secondary School Bangora of Palaniya Gram Panchayat of Arki Assembly Constituency. He said that the state government is determined to provide permanent solutions to people’s problems.
He said that Rs 17.39 crore has been sanctioned for the expansion of Galog to Tukana road.
He instructed the concerned officials to connect Gram Panchayat Palaniya with Gambar Drinking Water Scheme within the stipulated time. He assured to make funds available for the development of Lift Drinking Water Scheme Jabal-Kothi after the draft is ready.
He said that in future he announced to construct forest inspection hut soon. He announced an amount of Rs 50 thousand for rugby and cricket mats.
He announced to give Rs 21 thousand to the fair committee Dhardudhar. He also announced to give Rs 2100 to the children of Government Senior Secondary School Manju who presented cultural programs.
On this occasion, a colorful cultural program was presented by the cultural group of Information and Public Relations Department and children of Government Senior Secondary School, Manju.
