An FIR has been registered for preparing objectionable photo of Lord Shiva and posting it on social media. Based on the complaint of Devbhoomi Bhoomi Sangharsh Samiti, the police have registered a case under section 196(2) 299 353(2) of the Indian Penal Code at Baluganj police station.
A complaint about this was given in Baluganj police station yesterday by Madan Thakur, co-coordinator of Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti. It was said in the complaint that objectionable photos of Lord Shiva are being made, which are being continuously uploaded on a page called “Search of Truth” on Facebook. Not only this, objectionable words are also being used in this page regarding Lord Shri Ram and Lord Shri Krishna. This is hurting the sentiments of the people of Hindu religion. It was said in the complaint that the work of making it viral on social media is being done by people of a particular community, due to which the communal harmony in the society is being spoiled. Hindu society is deeply hurt by this act and it is unbearable. Insulting God in this way will increase communal tension in the society which is a matter of concern. In such a situation, the police should immediately close this page and file an FIR against those who commit such acts and arrest them so that harmony is maintained in the society. After this the police has now taken this action. The police is investigating the matter
