As per the instructions of Bharat Elections, in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, 2024 in district Solan, the first level investigation of EVM and VVPAT machines was conducted by Additional Deputy Commissioner Solan and Nodal Officer of First Level Investigation Ajay Yadav and Additional Commissioner Municipal Corporation Solan Dr. Held in the auditorium of Municipal Corporation Solan in the presence of Priyanka Chandra.
During the first level checking, 1010 ballot units, 888 control units and 1026 VVPAT machines were thoroughly checked by five engineers deputed from Bharat Electronics Limited, Bengaluru. In the investigation, a total of 1001 ballot units, 872 control units and 1016 VVPATs were found to be correct. During investigation, 09 ballot units, 16 control units and 10 VVPAT units were found not to be correct.
During the investigation, VVPAT slips were matched by conducting a mock poll on 05 percent machines (45 machines) of the control unit in the presence of political parties, which were found to be correct. During this time, load test was also conducted for the representatives of political parties by adding four ballot units along with a control unit on the designated machines.
On this occasion, Indian National Congress representatives Shiv Dutt Thakur, Manjul Aggarwal, Kanchan Rana, Sharda, Rupendra Kaur, Bharatiya Janata Party representatives Chandrakant, Munni Lal, Sanjeev Sood, Neha Thakur, Aam Aadmi Party representatives Bharat Thakur, Rita Thakur, Dewan Singh, BL Gazette, Bahujan Samaj Party representatives Rakesh Brar and Ram Ratan, Tehsildar elect Rajesh Sharma, Naib Tehsildar elect Dewan Thakur, Superintendent VR Chaudhary, Bharat Electronics Limited Bengaluru engineer Nitish Kumar were present.
