A fisherman drowned while he was fishing in a lake in Himachal Pradesh’s Bilaspur district, police said. The fisherman was fishing in the lake with his boat. During this time, his foot slipped and fell into the lake. According to the information, Sunder Singh (60), a resident of village Gah, Post Office Malraon, Tehsil Jhanduta District Bilaspur, went to the Gobind Sagar Lake alone on Friday evening. Suddenly, he slipped and fell into the lake. After some time, another boat arrived. He saw that there was no one on the other boat.
He feared that Sundar Singh would drown. He informed his family members and the police. A search operation was also launched in the lake with the help of the people. After some time, Sundar Singh’s body was found in the lake. The deceased’s father and brother were also injured in the incident. He gave this information to the police. The police reached the spot and found the body with minor injuries on the head. The statements of the deceased’s brother Mahendra Singh and others have been recorded. It is being told that Sundar Singh did not know how to swim. The post-mortem of the body was conducted at Ghumarwin Hospital on Saturday. DSP Giridih Sanjay Kumar confirmed the incident.
