Five of the six Congress MLAs removed from the posts of chief parliamentary secretaries have been given command and membership of the assembly committees. Former CPS Kishori Lal has been made the chairman of the Public Enterprises Committee, while Sanjay Awasthi will be the chairman of the Human Development Committee. Former CPS and MLAs who left Congress and joined BJP have also been included in other assembly committees. Sudhir Sharma will be a member of the Public Accounts Committee headed by BJP MLA Anil Sharma. Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania approved the formation of these committees and its notification was issued by the Assembly Secretary.
The chairman of the Public Accounts Committee will be Anil Sharma. The chairman of the Estimates Committee will be Rakesh Kalia. MLA Sudhir Sharma, who left Congress and joined BJP, has also been made a member of it. Former CPS Kishori Lal has been made the chairman of the Public Enterprises Committee. MLA Indradutt Lakhanpal, who left Congress and joined BJP, has also been made its member. Former Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mohan Lal Brakta has been appointed the chairman of the Welfare Committee. Sanjay Ratna has been appointed as the chairman of the Local Fund Accounts Committee. The Chairman of the Subordinate Legislation Committee is the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, while former CPS Kishori Lal has also been taken among its members.
Former Chief Parliamentary Secretary Ashish Butel has also been appointed as the Chairman of the Public Administration Committee. Former CPS Mohanlal Brakta will be its member. Former CPS Sanjay Awasthi will be the Chairman of the Human Development Committee. While Kewal Singh Pathania will be the chairman of the General Development Committee, Sudhir Sharma has also been appointed as a member of it. Ramkumar has been appointed as the chairman of the Rural Planning Committee. BJP MLA Indradutt Lakhanpal has also been appointed to it. Ashish Sharma will also be its member. The Chairman of the Privileges Committee will be the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Vinay Kumar, while its member will be Ashish Butail. The Chairman of the Committee on E-Governance and General Purposes is the Speaker of the Assembly, and former CPS Ashish Butail has been made its member.
Sundar Singh Thakur, the sixth Congress MLA who was removed from the post of Chief Parliamentary Secretary (CPS), is not included in the committees of the Vidhan Sabha. His not getting a place in the committees is being seen in such a way that he may be given more important responsibilities in the future.
