Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil) Jubbal, Gurmeet Negi, said that spreading awareness about the Forest Rights Act (FRA), 2006 is essential to ensure that eligible individuals and communities can claim their forest rights in a timely and lawful manner.
He stated that information regarding Individual Forest Rights (IFR) and Community Forest Rights (CFR), eligibility criteria, required documents and the claim submission process will be shared with the public through Gram Sabha meetings. He also emphasized the importance of informing people about the formation, activation and role of Village Forest Rights Committees (FRCs), so that no eligible person is deprived of their rights due to lack of awareness.
Keeping this objective in mind, all Patwaris, Kanungos and Naib Tehsildars of Sub-Division Jubbal have been directed to remain present in their respective Gram Panchayats on January 22, 2026, and actively participate in public awareness activities during Gram Sabha meetings.
He informed that on the scheduled date, Naib Tehsildar Saraswatinagar Dinesh Sharma will attend Gram Panchayat Nandpur; Patwari Ritesh Mehta in Thana; Patwari Kapil Sharma in Ranvi; Girdawar Kanungo Jubbal Prakash Joshi in Kathasu; Patwari Anil Kumar in Pandaranu; Patwari Naveen Chauhan in Jhalta; Girdawar Kanungo Saraswatinagar Arvind Chauhan in Giltari; Patwari Prakash Chand in Nakradi; Patwari Happy in Parali; Patwari Naveen Rapta in Barthata; Patwari Arun Sharma in Jhagtan; and Patwari Kamlesh in Shili, where they will guide villagers on FRA-related matters.
