Giving information, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil) Sunni Rajesh Verma said that the FRA awareness workshops proposed between 1 June to 30 June 2025 with the aim of making people aware about the Forest Rights Act-2006 were postponed due to adverse weather. He informed that now these workshops have been rescheduled in the month of August.
He informed that the second phase FRA workshop will be organized on August 05, 2025 for the people of Gram Panchayat Shakrodi, Bharada and Chebari in Gram Panchayat Shakrodi, on August 07 for the people of Gram Panchayat Gharyan, Juni and Madhodghat in Gram Panchayat Gharyan, on August 09 for the people of Gram Panchayat Ogli, Karyali, Domehar, Himri, Sainj, Dharogda in Gram Panchayat Jaloog, on August 12 for the people of Gram Panchayat Basantpur, Riog, Ghaini and Neen in Gram Panchayat Basantpur and on August 26 for the people of Gram Panchayat Majhiwar, Diola and Khatnol in Gram Panchayat Majhiwar.
He appealed to the officials of FRC (Forest Rights Committees) and Panchayat representatives to definitely participate in these workshops and also to motivate the general public to participate by making them aware in large numbers.
He said that these workshops are very important to make the public aware of the provisions of FRA-2006 and to provide guidance on the procedures for collection of individual and community claims.
