Shimla, March 18
School of Paramedical Sciences at APG Shimla University Campus hosted a free health camp in association with the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Himachal Pradesh. The event was inaugurated by Head of Pujarli Panchayat Meena Kashyad, while the Guest of Honour was OP Verma, Deputy Head of Panchayat.
The event atarted at 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM and was attended by over 250 students, staff, and local residents. The health camp comprised of a team of seven doctors, including two medical officers in charge, Dr. Swati Marwah and Dr. Nitika Dharma, who were deputed by Block Medical Officer, Mashobra.
Attendees were able to take advantage of free general health, eye, and dental check-ups, with the event aimed at providing healthcare services to the local community. Vice Chancellor Dr. Rajinder Chauhan praised the efforts by the School of Paramedical Sciences and thanked the team of doctors for their contributions. He also highlighted that APG Shimla University regularly takes up such initiatives in the benefit of its students, staff, and local residents, and has previously organized several blood donation camps and vaccination drives.
