The School of Journalism and New Media at Shoolini University welcomed its new batch of talented students with a vibrant and unforgettable freshers’ party. The event was attended by both bachelor’s and master’s degree students.
The programme featured a variety of engaging activities, including dance performances and games, ramp walk, and talent round organised for the freshers, where they had the opportunity to shine and compete for the coveted titles of “Mr. and Miss Freshers.”
Riya and Abhijeet emerged as the stars of the evening, securing the titles of “Miss Freshers” and “Mr. Freshers”for Under Graduate (UG) Programme. For the Postgraduate (PG) Programme Ahana and Manan Monga clinched the titles. The winners were rewarded with gift hampers to cherish and remember this remarkable night.
As the evening progressed, seniors impressed the audience with dance performances, followed by an DJ session that kept everyone dancing on the dance floor. This interaction between new and existing students allowed for the exchange of experiences and friendship, fostering a sense of unity within the department.
Prof. Vipin Pubby Director School of Journalism and New Media said welcome session for new students is platform to informally connect with their senior peers and faculty members. It also provides a platform to showcase their diverse talents and set the stage for a promising academic journey ahead. All faculty members were present at the welcome session.
