To understand the pattern of cases coming out in the BBN area, Baddi Police has taken a novel initiative which is “Geotagging of COVID-19 patients coming in BBN”.
Few areas have been identified like Phase-III Housing Board baddi where cases have come recently. The Geotagging initiative has been started full fledged in the past 3 weeks only. This will help in better understanding the spread pattern.
RedDots on the Google Maps indicate home isolation and Green Dots indicate that the patient has been shifted to the COVID Care facility. Bigger dots reflect more no of cases at the same spot. Primary contacts are also being tagged for better surveillance.
The images are being shared with the media for awareness purposes only so that people can avoid those areas where such cases are coming more.
The system has been designed by SDPO Nalagarh and being implemented in BBN Police District. In this effort Police fills the information from the spot and the GPS location is captured automatically in the database which is reflected on the screen of the system automatically and further viewed by the officers for their analysis.
