A case of theft of a young woman’s bag has come to light at the ISBT bus stand in the capital Shimla. In this regard, the police have registered a case and started investigation.
Prerna Thakur, daughter of Nandlal, a resident of Bilaspur district, has lodged a complaint at Baluganj police station that on August 14, she was going from Shimla to Bilaspur with a friend. She kept her bag in bus number HP 94A-2085 and went out of the bus to buy a ticket and food items.
When she returned, she saw that another black colored bag was kept in its place and her bag was missing. The complainant told that an iPad, charger and about Rs 2000 cash were kept in her stolen bag.
A case has been registered in Baluganj police station under section 305 (C) of BNS in connection with this incident. Police said that CCTV footage of the bus stand and surrounding areas is being scanned so that the accused who committed the theft can be identified.
