Meeting organized with Block Development Officers
A meeting was organized with all the Block Development Officers of the district here today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap. While reviewing the progress of various development schemes in the meeting, he directed the officers to make regular field visits and hold meetings with their subordinate officers from time to time so that the real situation of the area can be assessed.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the work of schemes related to public interest should be expedited and transparency and quality should be given top priority. He emphasized regular monitoring of development works at the village level and coordinated efforts for quick resolution of local problems.
He directed that all Block Development Officers should also work in coordination with other departmental officers. Various works going on in the development blocks were discussed in detail in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the officers should work promptly in matters like old age pension, ration cards, marriage registration, and enrollment of children in schools in their area so that eligible people can get benefits on time. He also clarified that in case of disaster, all the officers should be active in the field and prepare an action plan, keeping in mind the specific problems of each panchayat.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Divyanshu Singal along with all the Block Development Officers and other concerned officers, was also present.
