Good writing needs unflagging practice and vintage of mulls, say experts during the webinar of APG Shimla varsity

Under the webinar series of APG Shimla University and on behalf of Prof. Dr. Kusha Pandit Chawala from English department of APG Shimla University conducted a webinar on the theme personal writing, professional writing and academic writing here on Monday. Prof. Dr. Ramesh Chauhan, the Vice-Chancellor of APG Shimla University presided as a chief guest in the webinar. Assistant Prof. Himadri Thakur from English department of APG Shimla University was the coordinator of this program, while Assistant Prof. Apurva Lohumi, from Akal University Bathinda, joined the webinar as a key resource person and key expert in the webinar. This event started with the blue print about the webinar topic by Prof. Dr. Kusha Pandit Chawala in her address she said that personal writing, professional writing, academic writing and literary writing depict the developed personality of an individual and this genre of writing help the students or any individual in their career.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ramesh Chauhan address the students of both universities that writing is not a easy piece of writing but it is an art and it is a continue process and exercise of writing and reading. “Most of students and individuals face the problem of writing in their personal life, academic life and professional life as well which can be improved by immanent writing, reading books and strong vocabulary knowledge”, said Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ramesh Chauhan while addressing the students. Prof. Chauhan said that to be a good author or a good journalist depicts his good temperament and impressive personality, his strong vocabulary and his good notions then he can write better as it is an art also.
The key resource person on writing, Assistant Prof. Apurva Lohumi addressed the students that writing is such a genre that one can learn it by writing continue practice and reading but one needs of tolerance to learn it as it requires much regular practice to learn better. “ Personal writing, professional writing, academic writing but academic writing is different to personal writing as it has a fixed format of writing”, Assistant Prof. Apurva Lohumi said while addressing the students of APG Shimla University and Akal University. During the academic writing, students need to adopt a rational and purposeful outlook, proof based facts of writing, use of cogent sentences, easy language in writing, universal views or ideas and expertise notions in writing genre of any types, advised Assistant Prof. Apurva Lohumi to the students in the webinar. She told the students that they can impress the employer to get job through their skills of resume writing, communication prowess, professional writing skills, report writing skills, research letter writing skills, speech writing, article writing, and moreover they may become good authors but it is not so easy task, but for achieving it they need continue exercise of study, reading and writing. One, who exercises more to learn better writing, he will improve himself in writing, said Apurva Lohumi. At the end of the webinar, students asked more questions on writing skills and key resource person cleared the doubts of the students regarding writing pursuits of different types, and chairperson Prof. Dr. Kusha Pandit Chawala concluded the webinar with her advice to the students that for good writing, good notions and ideas are inevitable as it comes first for good writing. “One who keeps his views and ideas high, he may be produce a good author but this writing genre cannot be learn overnight but it can be improved better by regular practice of writing and reading”, advised Prof. Dr. Kusha Pandit Chawala to the students while concluding the webinar.
