Do not show the path of struggle in old age – Pensioners are upset with the working style of the government.
Shimla 04 February. It is not logical for the state government to stop the benefits payable to retired employees. Retired employees have reached the fourth stage of life in which most of the retired employees have left this world, in such a situation it is a grave injustice for the government to behave like this with the pensioners. In a statement issued by Pensioners’ Association, spokesperson Mela Ram Sharma has urged the government to immediately pay gratuity, leave encashment, commutation, DA increase and other allowances to retired employees as per the increased pay scale of the Sixth Pay Commission from 2016. He said that the retired employees of the state at the last stage of their lives have been waiting for the payments of the Sixth Pay Commission increases for the last many years, but the government has not yet taken any step in this direction.
He said that in the last 5-6 years, many retired officers and employees have gone to heaven without taking salary and allowances and lakhs of retired officers and employees of Himachal Pradesh are facing a lot of problems due to financial constraints at this age. He told that at this stage of age, there are many types of financial burdens on retired officers and employees, to fulfill which they have to take many types of loans from banks at huge interest rates for construction of houses, marriage of children and purchase of personal vehicles etc. Reading to raise.
Mela Ram Sharma said that after the year 2016, the arrears of the Sixth Pay Commission which he should have received about 5-6 years ago, is continuously decreasing due to rising inflation. He drew the attention of the Chief Minister of the state Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukku towards the fact that due to this attitude of the government, not only are they facing financial crisis but their fundamental rights are also being violated because the employees and officers who are not eligible for the 2022 Those retiring after 6th Pay Commission are getting full financial benefits as per the Sixth Pay Commission, whereas the financial benefits of the pre-retired employees are lying with the government for the last 5 years.
He urged the government not to push them on the path of struggle to get their economic benefits at this stage of their age and to pay their arrears to the soon-to-be retired employees as per the increases of the Sixth Pay Commission.
Government should immediately release the outstanding benefits of pensioners – Melaram Sharma
