Shimla
A woman obtained a house from the Municipal Corporation in the capital, Shimla, under the Ashiana-2 project by using a forged BPL certificate. The woman is a permanent employee of the government, which is frightening. Dhali police have filed a fraud case against the accused woman after getting a complaint about this.
Additional Assistant Engineer/Project Director Engineer Dheeraj Kumar Chandel of the Municipal Corporation Shimla has filed this complaint. According to the complaint, Santosh Kumari, who lives in Set Number-4, Block-20, Ashiana-2, Dhali, received one of the homes in Ashiana Colony that were constructed for low-income and BPL households by fraudulently utilizing the BPL certificate. Santosh Kumari is a permanent government employee and does not qualify as a BPL, according to the probe.
The Municipal Corporation sent her a warning to leave the house within seven days after the investigation’s conclusion, but she hasn’t done so as of yet. The Dhali police station has filed a case against her in accordance with Section 420 of the IPC because of this.
In Ashiana Colony, homes for low-income and needy BPL families have actually been constructed. These homes are meant to give people who are struggling financially a place to live. In this case, it is not only illegal for a government employee to take a home based on fictitious documentation, but it is also tantamount to stealing the rights of the actual poor.
Police say that the investigation of the case is going on and further action will be taken as per the rules.
