Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu have expressed deep condolence on the untimely demise of Anand Bodh, Senior Assistant Editor of The Times of India, who passed away today at IGMC Shimla due to cardiac arrest.
The Governor highlighted Anand Bodh’s unwavering dedication to journalism and his remarkable ability to bring attention to crucial issues concerning Himachal Pradesh. He said that Sh. Bodh’s deep understanding of the state’s dynamics and his commitment to truthful reporting made him a highly respected figure in the media community. “This is a significant loss for the journalistic fraternity and all who valued his insights. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace,” said the Governor.
The Chief Minister said that Anand Bodh’s sudden demise is a huge loss for the journalistic fraternity. He recalled Bodh’s long-standing service in Shimla and his roots in Himachal Pradesh, which gave him a unique perspective on the state’s issues. He said that Sh. Bodh’s dedication to highlighting these issues and his prioritization of the state’s interests were commendable.
He prayed for the peace of the departed soul and expressed his deep sympathies with the bereaved family members.
