Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu have expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of Havildar Suresh Kumar of the 18 Dogra Regiment, who made the supreme sacrifice while serving the nation in Leh, Ladakh. Havildar Suresh Kumar was a resident of Baggi Tungal Village, Tehsil Sadar, District Mandi.
The Governor extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and said that Havildar Suresh Kumar’s sacrifice would forever remain in the nation’s memory and serve as an inspiration for all. He would be remembered as a courageous and devoted soldier.
The Chief Minister said that the entire state stands in solidarity with the bereaved family members in this time of grief. He said that the selfless service of this brave son to the nation would be remembered with pride and gratitude.
Both leaders prayed for the peace of the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
