A grand Basant Utsav was organised at Rashtrapati Niwas on March 2, 2026, witnessing enthusiastic participation from all sections of society, including students, Army personnel, doctors and administrative officers.
Sharing details, Sanju Dogra, Manager of Rashtrapati Niwas Mashobra, said the event featured vibrant cultural performances by schoolchildren, including traditional dances and other captivating presentations that highlighted Himachali heritage and art. Students and teachers from Maria Montessori School Kufri, Monal Public School Sanjauli and ITI Mashobra attended the programme in large numbers.
The highlight of the event was a special performance by star performer Neha Dixit, who enthralled the audience with her presentation. The programme was compered by Pawan Dragta, who kept the audience engaged throughout.
Dogra said that, as in previous years, this year’s festival prominently showcased Himachali culture along with a strong sense of patriotism. The celebration once again conveyed an inspiring message by connecting people with art, culture and national pride.
During the programme, dignitaries present on the occasion were honoured with mementoes.
