Shoolini University celebrated International Women’s Day by organising Guru Talk on Tuesday. The speaker of the day was first women to join Indian Army, Major Priya Jhingan.
Major Priya in her opening remark said that, “we are raising empowered women, but we must also raise men who are capable of dealing with empowered women”. She gave a motivational speech to encourage the students to do more and be more.
Talking about self belief she said that, “believe in yourself and your dreams”. She also quoted the book, ‘The Secret’ and said that the universe gives back what it believes that you want. She urged the students to show gratitude to everything they have.
The event was followed by a cultural tribute to Late Singer, Lata Mangeshkar. The event was organised by Mrs. Poonam Nanda, Dean, Student Welfare and DSW office.
