Akshit Sharma, son of Bijhari village of Dhatwal area of Hamirpur district, has brought glory to his area by becoming a lieutenant in the Indian Army. During the passing out parade held at IMA Dehradun on Saturday, Akshit was dedicated to serving the country by his parents with a star on their shoulders. Other family members also looked proud on this special occasion.
Akshit had his schooling from Sainik School Sujanpur. He passed the NDA exam in 2021 and entered the National Defense Academy based in Khadakwasla Pune. After three years of rigorous training, he joined IMA Dehradun in January 2024 and has now come out as a lieutenant.
Akshit’s father Kewal Sharma is a chemistry lecturer in Government Senior Secondary School, Bijhari, while his mother, Anju Kumari is a teacher in a private school. Not only the family but the entire area is feeling proud of this success of the son.
