The doctors attending Capacity Building Workshop on Haemoglobinopathies and Hemophilia in Hematology Department, PGIMER Chandigarh visited Thalassaemic Charitable Trust’s (TCT) Ward on 11.03.2025 to study the Management of Blood Transfusion for thalassemics. About 40 doctors visited TCT ward. Sh. Rajinder Kalra, Member Secretary and Sh. A.P. Singh, Vice President received the visited doctors in TCT office.
Rajinder Kalra explained the setting up of TCT ward about 40 years back, and subsequent modernization of ward and facilities for thalassaemics by TCT. The latest technology use by Transfusion Medicine Department, PGIMER was also discussed. Sweets distributed to thalassaemic patients which were getting blood transfusion.
All doctors were amazed to see the setup and facilities provided in TCT ward. They highly appreciated the work of Sh. Rajinder Kalra and TCT Management for Welfare of thalassemics.
Doctors also sought guidance and help from Sh. Rajinder Kalra in establishing a similar ward in their respective District Hospitals.
