The former chief minister expressed gratitude and said that a pious deed was done by providing door-to-door services to the victims of the disaster; a similar camp will be organized in Janjheli next Sunday
Mandi: A free health checkup and treatment camp was organized by Setu Welfare Trust on Sunday in disaster-hit Thunag, in which about 400 people got themselves examined. On reaching this health checkup camp, former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur also got his health checked and urged everyone to come to the camp organized in the rest house of the Public Works Department in Thunag and get their health checked. He said that Setu Trust has done this pious work in the service of suffering humanity, which cannot be praised enough. Soon we are going to organize a similar big health camp in Janjheli next Sunday so that medical services can be provided at the doorstep of the people of remote areas in this situation of disaster. He also thanked Himachal Pradesh Medical Representative Union District Mandi that they not only provided necessary lab test services but also provided medicines free of cost to all the people who underwent tests. Former Chief Minister’s wife Dr Sadhna Thakur also provided her services in the camp. Apart from conducting tests, she also made people aware about drinking boiled water in the rainy season and maintaining hygiene. In this checkup camp, gynecologist Dr Bandana Jaggi, orthopedist Dr Arun Chandel, pediatrician Aksha Kaur, dermatologist Dr Ghanshyam and M.D. Medicine Dr Manjul Sharma, Dr Rakesh Roshan Bhardwaj, Dr Manjul Thakur, Dr Dhriti Gupta and Dr Gyan provided excellent services. On behalf of Himachal Medical Representative Union, Surendra Thakur, Rajesh Sharma, Vinod Thakur, Kailash, Vijay, Sachin, Surjeet, Jitendra, Kulveer, Bhupendra, Ravi, Nitesh, Balram, Aman, Ravi, Nikhil, Balveer, Ajit, Dimple and Vijay Patial provided services in the lab and pharmacy.
