The India Meteorological Department has informed about possibility of Heavy rainfall, lightning and thunder storm at isolated places and a Yellow alert (28th July, 30th July and 1st August) and an Orange alert (for tomorrow) has been issued for Shimla District.
DC Shimla has urged residents not to go towards high altitude places and landslide prone areas to avoid any untoward incidents. If any person goes towards such places or in case of any mishap, the local and district administration should be informed immediately. Public is requested to drive carefully, especially if slippery conditions exist on the roads.
He said District administration is also prepared to deal with any adverse situation and local officers and line departments have been given instructions about the same.
