Himalayan Research Institute ( HFRI ) Shimla and Tridev Dispensary Rohal have launched a partnership campaign for medicinal plant and sweet botanical development with the School of Pharmacy and School of Allied and Healthcare Sciences of APG Shimla University . These plants , generously provided by HFRI Shimla , aim to enrich the wildlife heritage of the APG Shimla University grounds and promote a green environment for learning and well – being .
The leaders of this cooperative effort include Dr. Pawan Rana , Scientist at FRI Shimla , and Shri Kripal Singh , Chairman , Tridev Dispensary Rohal , have jointly taken an important step with respected researchers from APG Shimla University . The inauguration was also attended by Shri BS Chauhan , Tushar Langolia , Chancellor Suman Vikrant , Pro Chancellor Professor ( Dr ) Ramesh Chauhan , Vice Chancellor Dr Rajindra Singh Chauhan , and Dr Maninder Kaur , Head of Science , APG Shimla University .
Chancellor Suman Vikrant expressed his enthusiastic opinion about the inaugural event , “ This cooperative effort is in line with the ideals of APG Shimla University towards environmental sustainability and holistic education . Our curriculum includes such practical projects . By doing this , we sensitize our students to become environmentally conscious individuals who contribute positively towards the society . ”
Vice Chancellor Dr Rajinder Singh Chauhan said , “ Medicinal plants not only enrich the wildlife landscape of our university , but also provide valuable educational opportunities for our students . We believe that such initiatives are beneficial for our students . ” No , but are also beneficial for the larger community and the ecosystem . ”
This important project assures that it can help the students to get part – time income opportunities for working in this project , their department and also the university . It commits to a collaborative effort towards a greener , healthier future for the generations to come .
