The high-voltage electric wires hanging low near the Cholling taxi stand and bus stop on National Highway 5 in the subtehsil of Tapri in the tribal district of Kinnaur have become a threat. The electric pole at the Cholling bus stand has been leaning for the past 8 years, with wires sagging down and creating a complete web, which could lead to a major accident at any time.
Regarding this, the S.D.O. of the Electricity Board’s Tapri Circle, Virendra Negi, stated that the department will replace the leaning electric pole in Chholing Market with a new one. Additionally, the leaning electric wires near the Chholing bus stand will be fixed soon. He also mentioned that the electric wires and leaning poles in Chholing village will be repaired as well.
