Marking the 25 years of academic excellence, Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, has emerged as a global talent hub, with over 23% of its graduates building successful careers abroad.
Addressing a press meet on Friday, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajendra Kumar Sharma said the university continues to set benchmarks in technical education, research, and innovation, positioning Himachal Pradesh as a preferred destination for quality higher education.
He highlighted that JUIT students are securing top internships and placements in leading global firms such as Google and Amazon, with the highest package touching ₹50 lakh per annum in 2025. The university also recorded an impressive 95% placement rate, with over 300 job offers made during the placement season.
Registrar Brig. R.K. Sharma (Retd.) outlined the university’s journey over the past two and a half decades, citing its strong academic ecosystem, modern infrastructure, and vibrant campus life.
The institution has earned a prestigious NAAC A+ accreditation with a CGPA of 3.40 and continues to strengthen its global standing. It has been ranked in the 1001–1200 band in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026 and 179 in QS World University Rankings (Southern Asia 2025).
JUIT has also made significant strides in research and innovation, with 55+ patents granted and several more in the pipeline. Facilities like the advanced Ramanujan Supercomputing Centre and the Drobotics Lab are driving cutting-edge work in artificial intelligence, robotics, and drone technology.
Officials said the university has played a key role in reducing student migration from the state while attracting talent from across the country, contributing to the socio-economic development of Himachal Pradesh.
As it celebrates its silver jubilee, JUIT reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing future-ready professionals and expanding its global academic footprint.
