In a recent administrative reshuffle, the Himachal Pradesh government has assigned additional responsibilities to senior officials in a move aimed at strengthening governance and streamlining departmental functioning.
C.P. Verma has been given the charge of Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment Department, expanding his role in overseeing welfare policies and initiatives for marginalized sections of society.
Meanwhile, Harbans Singh Brascon has been entrusted with the additional charge of Managing Director, Smart City Shimla, a crucial position responsible for implementing urban development and smart infrastructure projects in the state capital.
The orders have been issued with immediate effect, reflecting the government’s focus on ensuring efficient administration and continuity in key departments. Such additional charge assignments are typically made to maintain momentum in governance and avoid administrative gaps.
Officials indicated that the reshuffle is part of routine administrative adjustments carried out in the public interest.
