Shimla, March 24, 2026:
The Government of Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday issued two separate notifications ordering a significant reshuffle in the state bureaucracy, transferring and posting several IAS, IFS, and HPAS officers with immediate effect in the public interest.
In the HP Administrative Service (HPAS) cadre, Shri Shawan Kumar (2008 batch) has been appointed as Executive Director, Himachal Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation, Shimla. He replaces Shri Sachin Kanwal, who was holding the additional charge.
Shri Raman Gharsangi (2017 batch) has been posted as General Manager (Personnel) in SPV Dharamshala, while Shri Manmohan Singh (2017 batch) has been appointed as Assistant Commissioner to Deputy Commissioner, Chamba.
Among other key changes, Shri Krishan Kumar Sharma (2019 batch) has been posted as Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Sarkaghat (Mandi), while Shri Gunjeet Singh Cheema (2019 batch) has been shifted from Paonta Sahib to Manali as SDO (Civil).
Shri Raman Kumar Sharma (2020 batch) has been transferred to Kafota (Sirmaur) as SDO (Civil), and Ms. Akanksha Sharma (2021 batch) has been appointed as Land Acquisition Officer for the Parvati Project in Kullu.
Additionally, Shri Rajinder Kumar Gautam (2022 batch) has been posted as Joint Director, Digital Technologies and Governance (DT&G), Shimla.
In a separate notification concerning IAS/IFS officers, Shri Sandeep Kumar (IAS, 2010 batch) will continue as Divisional Commissioner, Kangra, holding additional charge.
Shri Duni Chand Rana (IAS, 2014 batch) has been assigned multiple key responsibilities, including Managing Director, HPMC, along with additional charges in environment and disaster management departments.
Shri Ram Kumar Gautam (IAS, 2014 batch) has been appointed Managing Director, H.P. State Agriculture Marketing Board, while Mrs. Kumud Singh (IAS, 2015 batch) has been posted as Director, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs.
Shri Vinay Singh (IAS, 2015 batch) will now serve as Managing Director, H.P. State Cooperative Bank Ltd., Shimla.
Further, Shri Manesh Kumar (IAS, 2018 batch) has been posted as Settlement Officer, Shimla Division, and Shri Akshey Sood (IAS, 2020 batch) as Settlement Officer, Kangra Division.
Shri Dwiji Goel (IAS, 2023 batch) has been appointed as Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Paonta Sahib.
In the IFS cadre, Shri Pushpendra Rana (1999 batch) has been given additional charge as Director, Disaster Management, along with responsibilities in Environment, Science & Technology and as Member Secretary of the State Council.
The reshuffle is aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and ensuring better governance across departments in the state.
