Shimla, July 22: IAS officer Rakesh Kumar Prajapati (HP: 2012 batch) has been appointed as Director in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), New Delhi, under the Central Staffing Scheme.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, the competent authority has approved his appointment for a five-year tenure from the date he assumes charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The Himachal Pradesh Government has been directed to relieve the officer immediately so that he can take up his new assignment in Delhi. As per DoPT guidelines, he is required to join his new post within three weeks from the date of the appointment order, failing which the process of debarment from the Central Staffing Scheme may be initiated.
