People in the ration depots of Himachal Pradesh are not getting edible oil for about two months. The file of the oil tender has been lying with the government for about 20 days but it has not been approved. The state government had decided to provide oil as per requirement for wedding ceremonies and other events. Far from getting it, consumers are not getting two liters of oil even every month in the routine. It is being told that the Food Supply Corporation has finalized the tender and sent it to the government for approval. The corporation had sought tenders from companies regarding oil, in which the lowest rate has come to Rs 155.
This has not been approved by the government yet. There are no pulses and oil in the depots for two months. However, the Food Supply Corporation has claimed that pulses are being sent to gram depots, Malka dal will also start coming soon, the supply order of urad dal is yet to be done. There are 19 lakh ration card holders in the state. The Food Supply Corporation grinds wheat to provide flour to consumers. Food Corporation of India (FCI) Managing Director Rajeshwar Goyal said the tender file for the fuel has been sent to the government for approval. We hope to get the approval soon.
