Shimla: Himachal Pradesh’s Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) has emerged as a model at the national level, drawing wide appreciation at the two-day National Consultation on Strengthening Vidya Samiksha Kendra held in Hyderabad.
The conference was organised by the Central Institute of Educational Technology and National Council of Educational Research and Training with support from the Ministry of Education. Education administrators, policymakers and technical experts from across the country participated in the event.
Himachal Pradesh was represented by Rajesh Sharma, State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Himachal, who was specially invited to present the state’s innovative 6A Integration Model.
6A Integration Model Wins Praise
Rajesh Sharma highlighted how Himachal transformed VSK from a simple dashboard into a robust data-based governance model. He gave a detailed presentation on the RVSK Integrated 6A Dashboard, which integrates six key components — Attendance, Assessment, Administration, Accreditation, Adaptive Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
Through this framework, Himachal has successfully improved education governance and learning outcomes by integrating multiple national and state-level digital initiatives onto a single platform. The model enables timely, accurate and data-driven decision-making at the administrative level.
Himachal Recognised as “Lighthouse State”
During the consultation, Himachal Pradesh was described as a “Lighthouse State” for effective policy implementation. The VSK’s Swift Chat Platform was showcased as an operational tool for 6A integration, delivering real-time data alerts, review indicators and actionable messages to officials.
The state demonstrated that Vidya Samiksha Kendra is not merely a data collection centre, but a powerful AI-supported and decentralised governance platform ensuring transparency, accountability and proactive administration.
Improved Learning Outcomes and Accountability
Speakers at the conference emphasised the need to move beyond data collection towards decision-oriented governance. Himachal’s experience showed that integrating attendance monitoring, competency-based assessments, adaptive learning and school accreditation strengthens both learning outcomes and administrative accountability.
The 6A integration initiative under Himachal’s Vidya Samiksha Kendra is now being viewed as a guiding model for other states, marking a new direction in education transformation across India.
