Holiday special train will start operating on the Kalka-Shimla heritage railway track from Sunday. A large number of tourists are coming to Shimla by rail during summer vacations. Tourists are facing difficulties in booking seats in trains coming to Shimla due to long waiting list. Northern Railway is going to run an additional special train to provide additional facilities to the tourists.
The holiday special train was earlier planned to run in the first week of May, but in view of the huge demand of passengers, the railway management has decided to run this train from Sunday. This train will leave Kalka at 01:05 and reach Shimla at 07:30. Will leave Kalka from Shimla at 9:20 am, will reach Kalka at 3:50 am. Divisional Railway Manager Ambala Mandeep Singh Bhatia said that the operation of holiday special train between Kalka and Shimla is being started from Sunday. For the convenience of tourists, a special train will be operated till July 1.
