At the onset of winter, the Ambala Railway Division announced a schedule for the World Heritage Shimla-Kalka Railway’s holiday special train. Starting on Friday, this train will run throughout February. The Railway Management decided to start this holiday special train for the convenience of passangers as a result of the increase in train occupancy.
The railway management’s schedule states that train number 52443 will depart Kalka at 8.05 am and arrive in Shimla at 1.35 pm. This train will depart Kalka and arrive in Shimla at the allotted hour, stopping at Dharampur, Barog, Solan, Kandaghat, and Summerhill. With stops at Summerhill, Kandaghat, Solan, Barog, and Dharampur, train number 52444 will depart Shimla at 4.50 p.m. and arrive in Kalka at 9.45 p.m.
Shimla, the queen of the mountains, is seeing an increase in visitors every day. Many tourists take the Kalka to Shimla toy train on their way to Shimla. Train occupancy is nearly full as a result. In particular, the majority of trains traveling from Kalka to Shimla are completely occupied. Alongside this, advance reservations have become more popular, and as a result, people are waiting on trains.
All of the trains that run from Kalka to Shimla are reportedly nearly full by the first week of January. It has been agreed to run a holiday special train on this railway route due to the high passenger volume. The train will run till February 28.
