Inaugurated the newly constructed additional school building at a cost of Rs 23 lakh.
Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi said that better education is the foundation of overall development. Sanjay Awasthi was addressing the annual prize distribution ceremony held yesterday at the Government Senior Secondary School, Bawasi, in the Arki assembly constituency.
Earlier, the MLA inaugurated the newly constructed additional school building at the Government Senior Secondary School Bavasi campus at a cost of Rs 23 lakh.
Sanjay Awasthi said that under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the state government is striving to provide modern and quality education to students in Himachal Pradesh, from school to college and professional courses. Revolutionary changes are being made in the field of education to provide a solid foundation for this vision. He said that due to the sensitive efforts of the state government, the efficiency of teachers, and the hard work of students, Himachal Pradesh has reached the fifth position overall in the field of education.
The MLA stated that a cultured education is essential for the all-round development of students. In today’s online age, it’s crucial to educate students about our rich culture and moral values to help them become responsible citizens and fully develop their personalities. Teachers and parents play an important role in this direction. He urged parents to spend more time with their children and understand their problems. He added that a better relationship between parents and children will help eliminate the problem of drug addiction from society.
He said that no goal is impossible for the young generation. With hard work, determination, and discipline, life can be made successful by achieving goals.
Sanjay Awasthi said that the state government has launched the Dr. Y.S. Parmar Loan Scheme, which offers loans up to 20 lakh rupees at a mere one percent interest rate for meritorious students from poor sections of society. He urged that information about this scheme be disseminated to eligible students so that the future of meritorious students from poor sections can be secured.
On this occasion, Sanjay Awasthi rewarded the promising students of the school and wished everyone a bright future.
He announced to give Rs. 6 lakh for the construction of additional rooms of the school, Rs. 1 lakh for the link road from Bhanot to Maan, Rs. 1 lakh for the construction of the link road of Government Primary School Jylang, Rs. 21 thousand each to Mahila Mandal Maan, Bavasi and Jylang, Rs. 11 thousand for the dress of the students presenting cultural programmes, Rs. 21 thousand to the organizing committee and Rs. 5100 to the school children.
Mukesh Kumar, Acting Principal of Government Senior Secondary School, welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries on the occasion and presented the annual report.
On this occasion, colourful cultural programmes were presented by the students of the school.
Sanjay Awasthi then listened to public grievances under the “MLA Village Door” program and provided necessary guidance to the concerned departments for their prompt resolution. He stated that the primary objective of this program is to establish direct contact between the state government and the public and to raise awareness about the state government’s policies and schemes. He urged people to bring their concerns to the attention of the relevant officials so that they can be resolved quickly.
