Mandi:
Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that from the speeches of his top leaders to smaller leaders and the guarantee letter of the Congress, the Chief Minister must have come to know that he has not fulfilled a single guarantee. Now they should understand the difference between their words and deeds. They should also understand that they can satisfy themselves by telling lies and not the entire state. Because now the people themselves are aware and they know what announcements were made by the government by shouting at the chowks and what works are being done today? They should also remember each and every word of their leaders that what did they say about Mahila Samman Nidhi? He should listen again to the statements of his party’s strategists that ‘we have made these announcements by making all the arrangements in advance, the Congress party does not talk in the air’. All this should be heard and those leaders should be asked where all their preparations have gone. If the Chief Minister is not getting his speech, let us know and we will make it available. We have already reminded them in the Assembly. All the papers inside the House have also been shown to him through the Speaker.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the government cannot absolve itself by putting all the blame on the opposition. Accountability is paramount in a democracy. You cannot turn away from the issues on which you have chosen. You can’t lie about it. Gradually, they accepted the truth. The situation in the states where there are Congress governments is very bad today. Many Congress-ruled states made it clear that we will not be able to do this. But the Chief Minister of Himachal, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is still not giving up and is lying on the falsehood that we have done everything. Now the question is, if you did everything, why didn’t people get it? Who did what? The biggest question is, did you gain power by promising to do the same? You promised to give Rs 1,500 every month to all 22 lakh women between the ages of 18 and 59 to vote in the assembly elections and this year, when the code of conduct was imposed during the Lok Sabha elections, by giving one installment to 25,000 women, you say that the guarantee has been fulfilled. Are these women getting paid every month after that? Can’t find an answer? So where did your guarantee come from? After playing with the sentiments of the people of the state, if the Chief Minister now says that we have fulfilled the guarantee of giving the Samman Nidhi, then nothing can be more shameful than this. By lying, the Chief Minister wants to console himself, but the truth is that he played with the emotions of the mother power to gain power. Same is the case with the rest. They said they will give free electricity, give jobs, make electricity expensive, take away jobs and abolish posts. By lying that the guarantees have been fulfilled, the Chief Minister gave a message to the people of the state to end the expectation of the guarantees being fulfilled.
Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur visited Thunag and Janjehli areas of his assembly constituency Saraj and met locals and party workers. During his stay, he attended the closing ceremony of ‘Saraj Deepotsav’ today. He conveyed his best wishes to the organizing committee for the successful conduct of the fair and shared his experiences. Sharing his memories of Thunag Mela, he said that these fairs are a means of reconciliation. It is part of our culture and is our cultural heritage. This tradition should always be carried forward with strength. He prayed to all the deities, including Lord Kala Kameshwar, for the welfare and prosperity of the people of the state.
