In an effort to raise awareness about wildlife conservation, the Forest Department organized Wildlife Week celebrations in Shimla. The event was graced by the honorable Education Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Mr. Rohit Thakur, and Mr. Kehar Singh Khachi, Vice Chairman of the Forest Corporation, among other distinguished guests.
Rajeev Kumar, the Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of the Forest Force, provided detailed insights into the work of the Wildlife Division. He emphasized that the primary goal of Wildlife Week is to educate the public about the importance of wildlife conservation. He further stressed that it is the responsibility of all citizens to contribute to the protection of wildlife.
During the event, awards and certificates of appreciation were presented to the winners, recognizing their outstanding contributions to wildlife conservation. The Education Minister, Mr. Rohit Thakur, praised the efforts of the Forest Department in organizing the event and highlighted the significance of understanding and protecting wildlife for the sake of our future.
