Shimla: Online services of the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited will remain suspended for five days due to an upgrade of its billing software.
The board is upgrading its billing system from February 27 to March 3 to enhance online services for electricity consumers across Himachal Pradesh.
Board spokesperson Anurag Parashar said that during this period, several online services will remain temporarily unavailable. These include applications for new electricity connections, bill generation, bill payments (both online and at cash counters), lodging complaints, connection disconnection/reconnection requests, load change applications, and mobile application services.
The board has urged consumers to clear their electricity bills before February 27 to avoid late payment surcharge.
For assistance or electricity supply-related complaints during the upgrade period, consumers can contact the board’s toll-free numbers 1800-180-8060 or 1912, which will remain available round the clock.
The board said that after completion of the upgrade process, bill generation and payment systems will resume with improved efficiency from March 4.
