Shimla,December 25
In Himachal Pradesh, the cutting of all types of trees except Khair has been banned. According to sources, the head of the forest department has given orders related to this to all the field officers of the department. These orders have been issued only after the instructions have been given by the state government. At present, cutting of many species of trees was allowed in the state, and no permission is required, but now, after the review meeting with the chief minister, the CM has decided to ban the cutting of trees.
HOF Dr. Pawanesh held a meeting with all the field officers of the department, including all the DFOs, and ordered them to stop cutting all species of trees except Khair till further orders. Soon, the government can issue a notification for this.
Meanwhile, as soon as the verbal orders are issued, cutting of trees in the state will be banned; that is, other species, including Safeda and bamboo, which are allowed to be cut for fuel, will also not be cut. It is known that under the guise of felling trees like Safoda, Bamboo, etc., which are allowed to be felled, banned species of trees like Deodar, etc., were also being felled. This decision will also save the environment.
