Dhriti Bragta, who hails from Jashla village of Kotkhai in Shimla district, has brought laurels to the state in her research work. Panjab University researcher Dhriti Bragta was honored under the Prime Minister’s Fellowship for Doctoral Research Scheme. This research fellowship was given by the National Research Foundation, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Dr. Dhriti is doing research under the guidance of Rajeev Kumar, who is the head of the department of environment at PU. His research is based on “Fungi and Mycoremediation”. She is the first researcher from the Department of Environmental Studies to receive this prestigious fellowship. Under this fellowship, Dr. Gautam Madhok, Managing Director, Higgs Healthcare, has joined Dhriti as its industrial partner.
