Shimla, March 19:
The Directorate of School Education Himachal Pradesh has initiated the recruitment process for 870 Physical Education Teachers (PETs) across the state, following a recent High Court judgment and under the newly introduced Job Trainee Scheme.
As per official communication, the appointments will be made on a fixed monthly emolument of ₹21,500, in line with the government’s trainee policy and prevailing recruitment rules. The move comes after the disposal of multiple petitions and appeals, including LPA No. 194/2023, by the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
The department has directed all Deputy Directors (Elementary Education) to begin recruitment strictly as per Roster and Reservation Rules, while also addressing backlog vacancies in various districts.
