Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission has issued a notification for the recruitment of 600 Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) posts on a job trainee basis. Eligible candidates can submit their applications from March 16, while the last date to apply is April 6.
According to the notification, candidates aged between 18 and 45 years are eligible to apply. Applicants must have passed Class 12 and hold a JBT, D.El.Ed or diploma qualification. Candidates must also have cleared the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).
The application fee has been fixed at ₹800. Candidates who wish to make corrections in their application forms will have to pay an additional ₹100 as correction fee.
Earlier in January, the commission conducted a Computer Based Test (CBT) for filling 600 JBT posts. Now, the commission has again issued a fresh notification for the same number of posts, offering another opportunity to eligible candidates seeking teaching jobs.
Officials expect the recruitment process under this notification to be completed within two to three months. More than 17,000 candidates had applied for the JBT recruitment conducted in January.

Dr. Vikram Mahajan, Secretary of the State Selection Commission, said the recruitment for 600 JBT posts will be conducted on a job trainee basis and candidates can apply between March 16 and April 6.
