HPNLU is celebrating International Day of Girl Child. ‘550 Girls for a CHANGE Art Exhibition’, is being inaugurated at the Gaiety Theatre, Shimla, by Prof. (Dr.) Nishtha Jaswal, Vice Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla. Vandana Kumari, Chairperson of Commission for Protection of Child Rights will preside over the event. This is a jointly by Centre for Child & Women Studies, HPNLU, Shimla & Yuvsatta (youth for peace)-NGO
On this occasion, the Legal Aid Clinic of HPNLU Shimla, is staging a Nukkad Natak, GADOOKERY, “ Kahani jo Aaam Hai”.
This exhibition showcases 550 art works of School girls of Chandigarh from Carmel Convent School, St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Government Model Sr. Sec. School, Dhanas & Kitabghar. These were earlier displayed around Independence Day at Chandigarh and now brought to Shimla to further spread the message of ‘Girls Rights’, shared Pramod Sharma, founder of Yuvsatta-NGO, which twenty years back was instrumental in starting the house of house waste collection systems at Shimla.
This exhibition for two days will remain open till October 12th evening.
